Privacy Policy

Account. Your name, email, and (for password sign-in) a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile and email.

Trip content. The trips, itineraries, places, budgets, and expenses you create, plus your travel preferences (style, pace, interests).

Forwarded emails & documents. If you forward a booking confirmation to your Gate36 address or upload a document (boarding pass, hotel confirmation, receipt), we store the message and file and extract structured details from them.

Usage & technical data. Basic logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

To provide the service: build and store your trips, parse bookings, generate plans, track budgets, and place your trips on a map. We also use technical data to keep accounts secure (for example, rate-limiting sign-in attempts) and to diagnose problems.

We do not sell your personal data or use your trip content for advertising.

We rely on a small set of trusted processors to run Gate36: cloud hosting and storage (Microsoft Azure), AI processing for plan generation and booking parsing, inbound-email handling for forwarded confirmations, and map tiles and geocoding for the map. These providers process data only to perform services for us.

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete trips, documents, and expenses at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Passwords are hashed, files are stored in access-controlled cloud storage, and sensitive actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

You can access and edit your trip data in the app, control your theme and currency preferences, and request export or deletion of your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
